Found this place by accident and so happy I did!
It is $5 more than my regular place in San Gabriel, but makes up for it in:
1. Ambience
2. Cleanliness
3. Professionalism
4. Distance
5. Fluffy towels
AND I met the owner and he is a great guy. Also, talented...he painted all the murals in the place.
I have been having horrible neck and shoulder pain for the past few weeks. I went to a massage therapist near my house out of desperation, and it was good but I still had the pain and discomfort in my neck and shoulders. I was certain it was going to require a trip to my wonderful chiropractor to fix. Until I met Mary at Spaahbulous last night.
WOW. My neck and shoulders feel SOOO much better. She really got in there and I'm sure the work on the feet helped out a lot as well. I'm not 100% perfect after just one hour, but it was so good I'm already going back on Saturday for another.
The only minor thing I miss from my old place in SG is the recliners that fold down so you can lay face down. This place does your back while you're in a sitting position. However, they do offer full body massages ($40 for 1 hour) and they have proper massage tables for that. Spectacular.
I am so happy I found this place and can't recommend it enough... and always remember to tip!

Spaahbulous and More is one of those great Los Angeles treasures. The exterior is unassuming and easy to miss - but everything within in nothing less than a gem. The massage is amazing. They thoroughly cover everything from your feet to your eyebrows- and everything in-between. The interior is wonderfully relaxing, with a beautiful mural, intriguing lighting, and soothing (but not cheesy) music. Everyone is super nice and seem to genuinely care about creating the best experience possible. The biggest problem with Spaahbulous is that, at $20 a visit, it creates an almost irresistible temptation to go several times a week.

What a fantastic find!!
$20 for an hour long foot and upper body massage (back and arms). Granted this place is $5 more than the places in San Gabriel Valley, but it is well worth it in exchange for actual ambiance: dim lighting, big comfy chairs, soothing music, peaceful surroundings, and extremely polite masseuses.
Make sure to tip your masseuse when you're done (not at the front desk), and tip them well ($5-10), cuz they've definitely earned it after rubbing your feet for 30+ mins.
Also, make sure to ask for a frequent customer card at the front desk, and get your 10th massage for free!!

I have been here a few times before and every time I get a new person to massage me I was afraid that it won't be as good as the last one..... but boy, I was wrong every time.
All their employees seem to do a great job whether it is a man or a woman...the women are just as strong as the men and can control the pressure a little better but in either case, all you have to do is tell them how you like it an they seem to know exactly where and what you meant.
I have referred this place to a few friends and will continue to do so since everybody seems to thank me.
Can't wait for my next appointment!

Stumbled on this place through a casual reference from a friend... What a score! $20.00 for a 1 hour massage... around 30 minutes on back, neck and shoulders, arms and 30 for feet and legs... I will be back and highly recommend. Quite, professional, calm and relaxing. The hot tea at the end is a nice treat...

Amy did a great job reducing the swelling in my leg. I love that this place really takes pride in what they do, and they're very nice! Even though the services are done in an open room, it's very relaxing with the music and waterfall.
They give you hot tea or water after your service. Make sure to make an appointment, especially on the weekends. They welcome walk-in's but if you catch them when they're booked, you might be turned away(happened to someone as I was paying to leave).

I found my once a month foot massage place! I love how when you enter the place it's dim and calm feeling. They play music that makes you feel relaxed. The service is awesome. I love how the host speaks fluent English and makes sure everything is ok. I will definitely come back and be a regular!

This place is great and one of the best Foot Reflexology places I' ve been to, including all the ones in Alhambra, Monterey Park, and Rowland Heights. Owners/hosts were very nice and the masseuses were great. For a serene and relaxing experience, I definetely recommend going here!

Hosts very helpful and attentive. massage crew just great. for those bashful about the massage process....there's nothing to it. been here several times already. on a saturday morning, there is street parking avail (meters, $2.00 an hour, steep, thanks to LA revenue makers). After you're done, you are offered water or tea.

A rare gem in Downtown is the best way to describe this place. Beware it may be hard to find because of the difference in Spring and N. Spring. The bf and I totally circled around the block until we realized we parked right in front of the store. The owner is extremely friendly... a little over the top and even though her dog is cute, I didn't really appreciate her bringing it to her "spa."
On to service, GREAT atmosphere... I cannot stress this enough. Unlike most Chinese massage places in SGV, you get the same price ($20/hr) and get the spa-like ambiance of a full-service spa. The lights are dimmed, they have great soothing music, and the ever-so-peaceful sound of running water from their mini waterfall. It literally puts you to sleep. The massage therapists here are also great. While most foot massages I've had split the body to foot ratio at 20:40mins, the one here is about 30:30. I would've preferred more foot but the treatment here is really good and the guy actually did wonders for me while minimizing the usual, unbearable pain.
Definite must. And, the business offers those Buy 9 Get your 10th visit free promotion. Make sure you tip your therapists -- they work really hard and provide great service.

I happen to just stumbled upon this place when I was really not looking for a foot massage. I always go to San Gabriel. But, I had a long day, and thought I could use some relaxation while I was in Chinatown. Was I glad I did. The place is amazing. The place was also clean and smelled fresh. I will be back.

1 hour foot massage $20: Foot fetishists & future despots take note.
As I was getting my foot massage (which includes calves and some leg action), I felt like Imelda Marcos or better yet, Marie Antoinette. It's hard not to feel like a creep in a big puffy chair while someone slaves away on your achin' dogs, but you learn to live with it. I want to go every goddamn day.
At one point, the toe portion of the massage felt like a sex-act. I'm not kidding. It was like a sexual assault on my feet, but they like that sort of thing.
We were "walk-in" but were seen right away; I like to live on the edge. However,on weekdays there are just a few foot-technicians working so it may be less foolhardy to call ahead. If it had the opulent surroundings of Pho Siam, it would definitely warrant a 5-star. But then, they probably would have to charge more, so let's stick with things just the way they are.
It may be $20 I ever spent.

I went there 3 times already as I really like it. I wish I can afford to do it every week. I like to go with my friends on the weekend. We had Dim Sum first in the morning and take a short walk to the Spaahbulous. What a fantastic gift you give to yourself! I highly recommend this place to you. Only $20 an hour for back, neck, shoulders, arms, feet and legs massage, you have nothing to lose. This place is nice, clean and the workers are very friendly!

It was a pleasant surprise to find out that there is a cheap foot massage place downtown. I have been trying the ones in SGV and those are definitely cheaper and better. But with this place, I can go during lunch break or after work. The convenience is worth the extra couple of bucks. The massage itself was not my best but it was OK. I will be going back.

Wow! This place is a gem fronted by an unpretentious facade. No need to go to San Gabriel for those $15 massages in a noisy environment. For a mere $5 more, treat yourself to a relaxing massage in a zen-like room, complete with freshly laundered towels, sweet candles and trickling water to soothe the outside world away. Charming owners CJ and Choni are there to take care of you. -Wendy
